After a string of four wins, Franklin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 17-14 to the Rainier Beach Vikings. The Quakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 30-0.

Franklin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Rainier Beach, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Franklin is set to challenge their familiar foe Chief Sealth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rainier Beach will take on rival Ingraham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
