Softball Recap: Londonderry Gets the Win

Londonderry is still undefeated this season after their contest against Merrimack on Wednesday, but Merrimack came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Lancers skirted past the Tomahawks 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Lancers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Allison Chambers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Normand, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Londonderry's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Merrimack, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Looking ahead, Londonderry will be playing in front of their home fans against Spaulding at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Merrimack, they will head out to face off against Manchester Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
