Football Recap: Bexley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Linden-Mckinley

Bexley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Linden-McKinley Panthers by a score of 8-6. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the loss, Bexley still got an impressive performance from Declan Feldmann, who rushed for 106 yards and one touchdown.

Bexley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jack Elias and Jack Elliott. Elliott has been hot recently, having also posted at least one forced fumble the last three times he's played.

Linden-McKinley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davell Brock led the charge by rushing for 97 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 86 yards and one TD. Chris Caldwell helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.

Coming up, Bexley will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Linden-McKinley, they will head out to challenge West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
