Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfall). They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Huntington Huntsmen on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.
Adrina Hicks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Anna Snyder was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Cook was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfall will venture away from home to face off against Paint Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Huntington, they will head out on the road to challenge Adena at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
