Union Pines and Dixon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Union Pines had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Union Pines' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Their goal came courtesy of Maddie Huttmann, who's now up to three this season.

Union Pines' defeat dropped their record down to 20-4-1. As for Dixon, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2-1.

Union Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dixon, they will venture away from home to take on Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Alamance will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Dixon surely won't give up without a fight.
