Baseball Recap: Piqua Comes Up Short

Piqua fell victim to Tippecanoe and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 1-0. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Piqua saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cohen Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Brown is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Piqua's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tippecanoe, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Devils beat Piqua by a score of 14-9 on Tuesday.
