Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Point Chargers vs. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons

Tri-Point is 0-3 against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley since December of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Tri-Point Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tri-Point comes in on 16 and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley on seven.

Last Tuesday, Tri-Point beat Fisher 38-31.

Meanwhile, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley made easy work of Armstrong on Monday and carried off a 60-34 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. As for Tri-Point, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.

Things could have been worse for Tri-Point, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-26 loss to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley when the teams last played back in January of 2018. Can Tri-Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
