Basketball Recap: Paw Paw Comes Up Short

After soaring to 64 points the game before, Paw Paw was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 80-26 loss at the hands of the Windber Ramblers. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Windber had a senior duo take command as Evan Brady dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards and Grady Klosky went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five steals. Brady is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Serenko, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Paw Paw dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Windber, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Paw Paw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-66 victory against Hancock on the 13th. As for Windber, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-37 win against Berlin Brothersvalley on the 10th.
