Basketball Recap: Northville's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Northville had won three straight games and Peyton Sivier did her part to make it four on Monday. The Northville Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Novi Wildcats 67-33 thanks to Sivier, who posted ten points along with seven assists and seven steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Gubing, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Northville's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Novi, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-19.

Northville and Novi could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Northville (ranked 44th) will meet Tecumseh (ranked third) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Novi will challenge Saline at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th down 415 places (469 vs. 54).
