Basketball Recap: Allison Price's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harrah over Glenpool

After flying high against Seminole last Saturday, Harrah came back down to earth. The Harrah Panthers lost to the Glenpool Warriors at home by a 64-49 margin on Tuesday. The Panthers lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-42 score last time.

Harrah's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Price, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. What's more, Price racked up six assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Brooke Robb was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Glenpool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaliyah Shawnee led the charge by going 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points and seven steals. Shawnee is becoming a predictor of Glenpool's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 10-1 (and 6-7 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Tyra Mckinnie, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Harrah's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Glenpool, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Harrah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-36 victory against Tecumseh on the 14th. As for Glenpool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-46 loss against Collinsville on the 17th.
