Softball Recap: Fort Meade Miners vs. Lake Gibson Braves
Fort Meade won against Lakeland Christian last Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Fort Meade Miners beat the Lake Gibson Braves by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Gracie Taylor looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Marleigh Carroll and Makayla Deleon did most of the damage at the plate: Carroll went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Deleon scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
