Recap: Nantahala Hawks vs. Swain County Maroon Devils
The Nantahala Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Swain County, falling 64-32. Nantahala has struggled against Swain County recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Nantahala's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zoey Passmore, who scored 16 points, and Delaney McLean who scored 13 points.
Nantahala's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Swain County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nantahala will take on Hayesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayesville is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Swain County, they will head out on the road to take on Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
