Recap: North Olmsted Eagles vs. Keystone Wildcats

If the North Olmsted Eagles were feeling good off their 60-22 takedown of the Buckeye Bucks last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Olmsted fell to Keystone 26-21. The game was a 11-11 toss-up at halftime, but North Olmsted couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, North Olmsted still got an impressive performance from Mia Donald, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Donald is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North Olmsted struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Keystone got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Vivian Cassell out in front who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals. Cassell hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyson Sokolowski, who scored nine points along with three steals.

North Olmsted has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Keystone, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Olmsted will face off against Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crestwood is coming into the contest with four straight victories at home, so North Olmsted is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Keystone, they will head out on the road to take on Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
