Preview: Piedmont Hills Pirates vs. Silver Creek Raiders
Piedmont Hills and Silver Creek are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Piedmont Hills Pirates' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Silver Creek Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Piedmont Hills will be strutting in after a win while Silver Creek will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Piedmont Hills strolled past Gilroy with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The win was just what Piedmont Hills needed coming off of a 65-44 loss in their prior match.
Brian Pham was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Sean Tay, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Silver Creek couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a tough blow last Tuesday as they fell 82-66 to Branham. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Irvington's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Piedmont Hills' defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
Piedmont Hills couldn't quite finish off Silver Creek when the teams last played back in February of 2022 and fell 52-50. Can Piedmont Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
