The Norcross Blue Devils will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Discovery Titans at 7:30 p.m. on March 1st. Norcross' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Saturday, Norcross kept a clean sheet against Grissom. They beat the Tigers by a goal, winning 1-0. Walker Patino had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Norcross.
Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Discovery made sure to put some goals up on the board against Flowery Branch on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Falcons. Considering Discovery's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Norcross pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Discovery, their win bumped their record up to 5-1-1.
Norcross was able to grind out a solid victory over Discovery in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norcross since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
