Basketball Recap: Bethel Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Bethel won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Monday too. The Bethel Bees came out on top against the Riverside Pirates by a score of 36-29. Given the Bees' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Pirates are ranked 547th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenna Johnson, who posted six points and six steals.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Bethel, bringing their record for this year to 10-3. As for Riverside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethel will welcome Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covington will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Bethel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
