Maumee won the last time they faced Fostoria and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Redmen 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-9, 25-12.

Maumee was led to victory by Julia Coutcher and Taryn Pyle. Coutcher had 15 digs and one assist, while Pyle had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Pyle a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Maumee was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Fostoria's loss came despite strong showings from Jenna Counts and Ahmani Lee. Counts had 11 digs and two aces, while Lee had seven assists and six digs.

Maumee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fostoria, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
