Baseball Recap: Conifer Comes Up Short

Conifer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Standley Lake Gators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lobos of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Conifer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Adams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Conifer's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Standley Lake, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Conifer will take on rival D'Evelyn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Standley Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Wheat Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
