Austin is 8-2 against East Limestone since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Black Bears will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Austin came up short against James Clemens and fell 7-4.

Tyler Parker was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday East Limestone sidestepped Athens for a 10-8 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Golden Eagles since February 23, 2017.

Will Starr looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, East Limestone's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chris Fitts, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most home runs Fitts has posted since back in March. Another was Garrett Ritter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

East Limestone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Athens only posted a batting average of .267.

East Limestone has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Austin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season.

Austin beat East Limestone 5-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Black Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
