Basketball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt an 88-29 loss at the hands of the Archbishop Bergan Knights. Homer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-16.

Homer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Junius Snowball, who posted eight points.

Homer's record now sits at 2-9. As for Archbishop Bergan, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homer will head out to take on Pender at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pender will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Homer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Archbishop Bergan, they will head out on the road to challenge Omaha Nation at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
