St. Joseph is still undefeated this season after their contest against Tehachapi on Tuesday, but Tehachapi came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 2-0 shutout. The two-run effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Connor Chanley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Santana Covarrubias, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Joseph's record now sits at 5-0. As for Tehachapi, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will welcome Clovis East at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tehachapi, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bullard at 3:00 p.m.
