Baseball Recap: Kearny Comes Up Short

Kearny blew High Tech SD out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday High Tech SD got their revenge. The Komets fell just short of the Storm by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Komets have suffered since May 23, 2024.

Kearny saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Davila, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. J-Cub Perez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Kearny has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for High Tech SD, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

While Kearny had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
