Basketball Preview: Bayside Bears vs. Rockledge Raiders
Bayside is 0-7 against the Raiders since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bayside Bears will look to defend their home court against the Rockledge Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Bayside will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Even though Bayside has not done well against the Terriers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Bayside came out on top against the Terriers by a score of 35-26. Bayside pushed the score to 33-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Terriers cut but never quite recovered from.
Rockledge proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 41) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They didn't even let Okeechobee onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Rockledge has scored all year.
Bayside has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Rockledge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.
Bayside was taken down by the Raiders 63-17 in their previous matchup back in February of 2021. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bayside was down 33-12.
