Gateway put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Liberty Chargers as the Gateway Panthers made off with an 8-0 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Chargers are ranked 589th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gateway's offense was hitting Liberty from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Luis Moreno led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Gateway's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five contests. As for Liberty, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Gateway will take on Harmony in a tournament on Tuesday. Gateway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season. As for Liberty, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Cloud at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is facing St. Cloud at the right time seeing as St. Cloud is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
