The Northwest Whitfield Bruins will head out on the road to take on the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Whitfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Northwest Whitfield is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since December 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridgeland, sneaking past 53-50. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Panthers are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Calhoun, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Heritage by a score of 56-48 on Tuesday.

Calhoun is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Northwest Whitfield, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
