Basketball Game Preview: Ashbrook Greenwave vs. Forestview Jaguars

Ashbrook and Forestview are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Ashbrook Greenwave will be playing at home against the Forestview Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ashbrook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 games.

Ashbrook is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Crest just ended the team's 16-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers.

Meanwhile, Forestview posted their biggest win since December 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past North Gaston 80-59.

Ashbrook's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 18-3. As for Forestview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Everything came up roses for Ashbrook against Forestview in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 85-56 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Forestview's Alex Helton, who went 9 of 18 en route to 22 points.
