Softball Game Preview: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Carver Montgomery Wolverines

The Parker Thundering Herd will head out to challenge the Carver Montgomery Wolverines at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parker knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Carver Montgomery likes a good challenge.

Parker is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Minor just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 27-19 to the Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (11), the Thundering Herd still had to take the loss.

Brooke Moss made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in five of her six plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Alyssia Buckhana, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Carver Montgomery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 14-9 to Selma. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly five runs.

Carver Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Parker took their win against Carver Montgomery when the teams last played back in April of 2017 by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will the Thundering Herd repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
