Soccer Game Preview: Nelson vs. Gresham + How To Watch

Nelson will challenge the Gresham Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Nelson turned things around against David Douglas on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Scots.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gresham). Their defense stepped up to hand Clackamas a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Gresham have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gresham's win bumped their record up to 7-3-3. As for Nelson, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-8-1.

Nelson skirted past Gresham 1-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will Nelson repeat their success, or does Gresham has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
