Softball Recap: Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] Takes a Loss

Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Prairie Pirates, falling 20-10.

Laramie Finnell and Paityn Ralstin did some serious damage despite the final result: Finnell scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Ralstin scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Ralstin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Audrey Warren, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-3.

Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce]'s loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Prairie, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis County co-op [Highland/Nezperce] will host Genesee at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie, they will welcome Lapwai at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
