Preview: Windsor Forest Knights vs. Pierce County Bears

Windsor Forest is 0-3 against Pierce County since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Windsor Forest Knights will be playing at home against the Pierce County Bears at 7:00 p.m. Windsor Forest comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.

Windsor Forest fell victim to Appling County's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Pirates 61-0. While losing is never fun, Windsor Forest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Appling County is ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Pierce County came out on top against Toombs County on Friday by a score of 17-14 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).

Caden Mcgatha was a one-man wrecking crew for Pierce County as he rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns.

Windsor Forest has not been sharp this season, as they've lost six of their first eight games, which leaves them at a 2-6 record this season. As for Pierce County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1.

Windsor Forest took a serious blow against Pierce County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 49-14. Thankfully for Windsor Forest, Dj Bell (who rushed for 205 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
