Evergreen's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Highline. The Wolverines not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024.

Raiden Hang made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Evergreen got a massive performance out of Kevin Martinez, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Wilder Amechazurra, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double.

Evergreen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highline only posted an OBP of .143.

Meanwhile, Foster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to Lindbergh.

Foster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alan Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Evergreen has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run this season. As for Foster, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
