Carlsbad put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Marshall Barristers 24-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 on Friday.

The critical scores for Carlsbad came from Layla Munoz, Georgia Hawk, Meg Hanson, and Brooke Johnson.

Carlsbad didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Marshall to a completion percentage of just 46.7%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Munoz, Hanson, and Johnson, who each logged one passes deflected. Carlsbad wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Carlsbad's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Marshall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Carlsbad didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 victory against Classical Academy on the 23rd. As for Marshall, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Verdugo Hills at 2:00 p.m. on September 3.
