Volleyball Preview: Vermilion Sailors vs. Port Clinton Redskins

Vermilion is 9-0 against Port Clinton since September of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Vermilion Sailors will take on the Port Clinton Redskins at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Despite their loss, Vermilion saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alyssa Woodward, who had 13 digs, was perhaps the best of all.

Even though they lost, Vermilion was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.

Meanwhile, Port Clinton lost 3-0 to Galion on Monday.

After all that action, the final score was 25-14, 27-25, 25-17.

Vermilion's record is now 6-8. As for Port Clinton, their record now sits at 2-10.
