Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Field

The Springfield Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Field Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Field is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

Springfield is headed into the matchup without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top against Tallmadge by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Springfield were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Field had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering Field have won six contests by more than two goals this season, another big win was nothing new.

Field has now won six of their last seven games at home. That gives them an 8-1 record this season. Those home victories were made possible by their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those seven games. As for Springfield, the win improved their record to 7-0-2.
