Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mallory Miller and Amelia Albright Lead Georgetown to Victory

Georgetown saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the St. John XXIII Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Georgetown not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. John XXIII between 14 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

Georgetown was led to victory by Amelia Albright and Mallory Miller. Albright hit 85.7% for six kills and 14 digs and two blocks, while Miller had three digs and three aces. The last time Albright's hitting percentage was this high was over her last 14 matchups.

Georgetown's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for St. John XXIII, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-6.
