Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Moon Area walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 48-21 victory over the Armstrong River Hawks. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Andrew Cross was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 59 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Those 110 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Moon Area was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 406 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Armstrong's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Jaydon Oliver and Quinton Olsen. Oliver threw for 200 yards and one touchdown, while Olsen picked up 138 receiving yards and one score.

Moon Area's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Armstrong, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
