Fitzgerald came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Thomasville Bulldogs by a score of 72-59. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-52 back in January.

Thomasville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier Burkes Jr., who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds, and Monte Colvin, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five boards. Burkes Jr. has become a key player for Thomasville: the team is 8-4 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 4-5 otherwise.

Fitzgerald's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Thomasville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Fitzgerald wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-48 win against Coffee on the 5th. As for Thomasville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-57 victory against Bacon County on the 5th.
