Basketball Recap: Southeast Victorious

Southeast won the last time they faced Niobrara County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Southeast Cyclones walked away with a 28-20 win over the Niobrara County Tigers. That's two games straight that the Cyclones have won by exactly eight points.

When it comes to explaining why Niobrara County lost, don't look at Gracie ZumBrunnen. Despite the final result, she posted five points and seven steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Southeast and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Niobrara County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will head out to square off against Lingle-Fort Laramie at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lingle-Fort Laramie will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Southeast surely won't give up without a fight. As for Niobrara County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Niobrara County Tigers face off against the Upton Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
