Basketball Recap: Claire Carter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Christian over Christ Covenant

Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 41-23 bruising from the Christ Covenant Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Spartans are ranked 128th).

Community Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Claire Carter, who posted four points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Pierce, who had three points and nine rebounds.

Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Christ Covenant, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Community Christian nor Christ Covenant have any future games scheduled.
