Basketball Recap: Valley Forge Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Chester Christian last Tuesday, Valley Forge Baptist Academy came back down to earth. The Valley Forge Baptist Academy Patriots fell just short of Plumstead Christian by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The Patriots have struggled against Plumstead Christian recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Forge Baptist Academy lost, don't look at Ian Wall. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Caldwell, who posted six points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valley Forge Baptist Academy fell to 5-1. As for Plumstead Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Valley Forge Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln Leadership Academy at 5:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Plumstead Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
