Soccer Recap: Woodruff Drops Highest Score of Season Against Union County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodruff). They never let the Union County Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. Peyton Cox was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for Woodruff and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Union County, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Woodruff wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Legacy Early College on the 13th. As for Union County, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Landrum on the 17th.
