Football Game Preview: Nevada Union Miners vs. Del Campo Cougars + How To Watch

The Nevada Union Miners will face off against the Del Campo Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Nevada Union and five for Del Campo.

Nevada Union is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Roseville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Miners lost 28-3 to the Tigers. The matchup marked the Miners' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nevada Union didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Austin Putnam and Owen Hooper. Putnam has been hot for a while, having also posted six or more total tackles the last 17 times he's played. Nevada Union got some further help from Daniel Demario: he made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Meanwhile, Del Campo lost to Yuba City at home by a 34-18 margin on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 16 points.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Del Campo, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-5.
