West Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Anderson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Cubs at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Valley has 11 straight victories, Anderson has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If West Valley beats Anderson with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Eagles didn't even let Enterprise on the board on Wednesday, marking the Eagles' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

West Valley got a great performance from Jayden Knight as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Knight has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Degan Palos, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Manny Sleezer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

West Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Anderson and Lassen faced off in a Battle of the Bears last Friday. The Cubs lost 13-2 to the Grizzlies.

Anderson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daimon Pierce, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Pierce has brought in this season.

Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Valley, their record now sits at 13-3.

West Valley took their win against Anderson when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
