Johnson City extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 2-7 in the process. They lost 13-3 to the Union-Endicott Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on April 14th.

Johnson City saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sara McGlynn, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI. Reagan Knapp also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

As for Union-Endicott, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

On Union-Endicott's side, Aubrey Salati spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Union-Endicott let Maryn Morse and Dominika Diaz run wild. Johnson City and Union-Endicott could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Vestal at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (353 vs. 65). Meanwhile, Union-Endicott (ranked 301st) will meet Corning-Painted Post (ranked third) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
