Softball Recap: Marbury Comes Up Short

Marbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Elmore County Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on March 5th.

Marbury's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Elmore County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Marbury by a score of 5-4 later that day.
