Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. Starmount

Alleghany hasn't had much luck against Starmount recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Alleghany will challenge Starmount at 5:30 p.m. Alleghany's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Alleghany fell victim to Elkin and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Buckin' Elks by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Starmount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to South Stokes.

Starmount's goal came courtesy of Amy Ocampo, who's now up to five this season.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Starmount, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Alleghany suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Starmount when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Alleghany avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
