Basketball Recap: Sayre Drops Highest Score of Season Against Nueva Esperanza

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sayre). They walked away with a 61-53 win over Nueva Esperanza on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Sabres, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sayre's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12. As for Nueva Esperanza, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sayre won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nueva Esperanza, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bodine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
