Football Recap: Pennington Red Hawks vs. Hun Raiders
Pennington had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Hun Raiders on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Raiders are ranked sixth).
Hun was led to victory by Lukas Prock and Nick Diamond. Prock threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, while Diamond rushed for 115 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. Brady Scheier was Prock's top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and two scores.
The victory got Hun back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, Pennington will square off against William Penn Charter at 1:30 p.m. on September 6. As for Hun, they will challenge Archbishop Spalding at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
