There's no place like home for New Britain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Hartford Hornets on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. For the Golden Hurricanes, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

New Britain wouldn't go down easily and took East Hartford into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-20, 15-10.

New Britain's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for East Hartford, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

New Britain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Norwich Free Academy on the 19th. As for East Hartford, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Farmington on the 16th.
