Softball Game Preview: James F. Byrnes Rebels vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

The James F. Byrnes Rebels will venture away from home to take on the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with James F. Byrnes sitting on ten straight wins and Belton-Honea Path on six.

On Friday, James F. Byrnes was able to grind out a solid victory over Gaffney, taking the game 5-1.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path got themselves on the board against Daniel on Friday, but Daniel never followed suit. They blew past the Lions 14-0. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Belton-Honea Path's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for James F. Byrnes, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
